Mallika Sherawat Says, 'Last Year There Was A Death Of An Actor And People In A Very Misogynistic Way Started Blaming His Girlfriend - EXCLUSIVE
Mallika Sherawat who is busy promoting her new web series Nakaab in an exclusive interview with Spotboye talks about her reason for doing this thriller show which was released on 15 September on MX Player. The actress was last seen in 2019 in another web series titled Boo: Sab Ki Phategi along with Tusshar Kapoor. Ask the actor for doing the show the Murder actress says, "I really like director Soumik Sen's work, he is really good with actors, I loved the script too. It's an investigative thriller, there is a death of an actor on the show. If we see around what's happening in our country, last year something similar happened in our industry."

In June last year actor Sushant Singh Rajput had committed suicide, and his girlfriend Reha Chakraborthy was blamed. Mallika not taking any names speaks about the incident, "Last year there was a death of an actor and people in a very misogynistic way started blaming his girlfriend. Again it comes down to perception towards women, how we treat women. There was no proof that the poor girlfriend was involved, they started blaming her, manipulating her. The role social media is playing in all this thing. This is all-inclusive in our show Nakaab."

Further, probe the actor if the show is based on a real-life incident, she states, "I don't want to take any names, but I would definitely say there are lot of similar things."

Nakaab is currently streaming on MX Player. The show also features Esha Gupta, Gautam Rode. The show is directed by Soumik Sen and is an investigative murder thriller.
